- Health and Safety at Work regulations
- Current industry best practices
We aim to complete all work to the highest standard. Service availability and scheduling are subject to our current workload and your location.
6. Quotations & Pricing
We provide free quotations for our services. Quotes are provided based on the information available at the time and are valid for 30 days unless otherwise stated in writing.
Prices quoted are estimates and may vary if the scope of work changes once we have accessed the installation. Any additional work beyond the original quote will only be carried out with your prior written agreement and a revised quotation.
VAT. Yorkshire Green Heating Ltd is registered for UK VAT. All prices we quote are inclusive of VAT at the prevailing standard rate (currently 20%) unless we explicitly say “plus VAT”. Every invoice issued shows the net, VAT and gross amounts as required by HMRC. Customers needing a VAT receipt should ask at the time of booking — one is issued by default with every paid invoice.

6a. Scope of our Boiler Service
Yorkshire Green Heating Ltd’s £95 inc VAT Boiler Service is a combustion-led annual service carried out by a Gas Safe registered engineer in line with manufacturer guidance, BS 7967 (use of portable combustion analysers) and Gas Safe Register Technical Bulletin TB 143 (CO and CO/CO₂ ratio checks). The service is scheduled for 40 minutes on site.
Always included as standard:
- Visual inspection of the boiler casing, pipework, flue and surrounding area for damage, corrosion or wear.
- Operational checks — start-up sequence, hot water, heating, controls and thermostat.
- System pressure check and gas inlet working pressure check.
- Inspection of all visible seals, joints and connections for gas or water leaks.
- Flue terminal inspection (internal and external where safely accessible).
- Combustion / flue gas analysis using a calibrated analyser, including CO level and CO/CO₂ ratio measured against manufacturer tolerance and the TB 143 action levels.
- Written service report.
Full strip-down — performed only when required. In line with manufacturer service guidance (for example Worcester Bosch’s published service intervals) and TB 143, a full strip-down — removal and cleaning of the burner, heat exchanger and internal components — is only required when combustion readings fall outside the manufacturer’s tolerance, or where visual inspection identifies a fault. Modern condensing boilers typically only require a strip-down every 4–7 years.
Additional time, parts and exclusions. If a strip-down, remedial work or replacement parts are required, we will explain why, quote any additional time and parts before proceeding, and bill any extra time at our standard rate of £114 inc VAT per hour. Parts are quoted separately. The £95 fee does not include: a strip-down where combustion readings are within tolerance and no fault is visible; repairs requiring replacement parts; or manufacturer warranty registration / benchmark schedule completion (please request if required).
By accepting a Boiler Service quote or booking, the customer acknowledges and agrees to the scope and conditions set out above.
7. Booking & Cancellation
Bookings can be made directly on this website at /book (powered by ServiceM8) or by contacting us on 01302 963007. We will confirm your appointment and provide you with a scheduled date and time window.
We request a minimum of 24 hours notice for cancellations. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice may be subject to a cancellation fee at our discretion.
Standard working hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00. Same-day emergency callouts during these hours are charged from £130 inc VAT. Out-of-hours, weekend and bank holiday callouts are charged from £150 inc VAT (this covers the visit and the first hour on site; additional time is billed at the emergency hourly rate). The exact rate is confirmed before we leave for site.
8. Payment Terms
Payment for our services is due upon completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept the following payment methods:
- Bank transfer (BACS)
- Card payment (Debit/Credit cards)
- Other methods as agreed in advance
Invoices are payable on completion for one-off domestic jobs, or within 14 days of issue for landlord, agent and account customers, unless alternative terms have been agreed in writing. All invoices show net + VAT + gross amounts.
A statutory interest charge of 8% above the Bank of England base rate may be applied to balances overdue by more than 30 days, in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 for B2B accounts. Late payment may also result in suspension of further services.
9. Guarantees & Warranties
All parts and equipment installed by Yorkshire Green Heating Ltd are covered by the manufacturer's warranty. The duration and terms of these warranties vary depending on the specific product and will be provided with your documentation.
We provide a workmanship guarantee on all installations and repairs carried out by our team. This guarantee covers defects in workmanship for a period of 12 months from the date of completion.
Guarantees do not cover damage caused by misuse, lack of maintenance, unauthorised repairs by third parties, or pre-existing issues with your system. Annual servicing may be required to maintain warranty coverage.
Power flushing. Power flushing improves the cleanliness and circulation of central heating systems but is not guaranteed to fix every fault. We do not warrant that a power flush alone will resolve issues caused by failed pumps, blocked heat exchangers, scale damage to plate heat exchangers, or system design faults. Where a flush exposes a deeper issue, we will explain the finding and quote separately for any remedial work.
10. Liability Limitations
Yorkshire Green Heating Ltd carries public liability insurance up to £6 million for all work carried out. Our financial liability for any single claim is limited to the lower of (a) the total value of the work carried out under the booking giving rise to the claim, or (b) the £6 million policy limit.
Subcontractors. Some specialist works (e.g. tiling, plastering, electrical second-fix, structural alterations) may be carried out by carefully selected subcontractors. Where subcontractors are used, we remain the customer’s single point of contact and stand behind the work, but liability for damage caused solely by a subcontractor’s actions sits with that subcontractor’s own insurance in the first instance.
We are not liable for:
- Pre-existing damage or faults in your heating system prior to our work
- Consequential losses, including damage to property, business interruption, or loss of profits
- Damage caused by events beyond our control (force majeure)
- Failures resulting from your failure to follow our maintenance and safety recommendations
- Third-party interference or unauthorised modifications to installed equipment
You acknowledge that your use of our services is at your own risk, and we recommend that you obtain your own insurance coverage for your heating system.

Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information on how we collect, use, store, and protect your personal data.
14. Photographs, Video & Data Captured On Site
Our engineers may take photos and short videos of installations and faults for: (a) job records, (b) Gas Safe / building regulations evidence, (c) warranty claims, and (d) anonymised use in case studies and social media. We never publish customer names, addresses or other identifying details without explicit consent. If you’d prefer no photos beyond the legal minimum required for compliance, just let the engineer know on the day.

Your continued use of our website and services following the posting of revised Terms & Conditions means that you accept and agree to the changes.
